In the Lab
Frank has always been intrigued and exhilarated by the sacred. He has developed modern rituals for audiences of more than 20,000 people. He has designed community-based rituals with collaborators, who have no formal artistic background, based on community needs and concerns. In all of these endeavors, Frank designed meaningful rituals that provided audiences the opportunity for reflection and transformation. His interests range from naming ceremonies to celebrating marriage and honoring the dead including the closing ceremony of The Second Great Chicago Fire Festival, a massive collaboration with faith leaders, performers, The Bulls drum line and many others to create an exquisite site-specific, Chicago-inspired ritual.
