Board of Directors

I believe there is something critical about the role the arts play in helping us to maintain and expand our humanity. It is a language that reaches people where logic and analysis cannot. Cabinet creates work that stimulates at the cellular level. It strikes directly at our curiosity. I serve on the board for these reasons and because of the way that Frank is choosing to be a leader and build the organization; holistically considering the ecosystem of artists, actors, musicians, and collaborators as partners not labor. I believe in the power of ritual and celebration, and of gathering together. I believe in the power of "first times" and how that leads us to growth. The artistry that is CoC offers these things not only for consumption but through the transfer of knowledge. By offering the apprentice program and by collaborating with other Institutions, Cabinet is multiplying the effect by showing the way.

I am believer that The  Arts make up a large part of what makes us human. The ability to create and to enjoy performance, music, fine arts, dance, culinary arts and writing is paramount to being happy, and as the Buddha says: “happiness is the path.”    Cabinet creates such a path, and that is why I want to support and participate in Cabinet’s mission and success.

Founder/Board Member

I serve on Cabinet’s Board because it permits me to collaborate with the keen responsible minds which make up the diverse, dynamic team. I believe Cabinet’s artistic and social mission is socially critical. We must gather, we must celebrate, we must cross differences and we must empower and support others with less than ourselves. And we must find ways to help artists (emerging and accomplished) flourish. They are essential to culture and deserve respectable pay and generous support.
